Student involvement

Student Involvement supports student success and enhances student learning and development. CBS is committed to building an inclusive community, and providing resources and support to help our students learn, develop and grow in their pursuits outside of the classroom.

CBS offers a variety of services and support to individual students and student organization members seeking to increase their level of involvement within CBS and the University of Minnesota.

In order to better meet the needs of students, our goals include:

  1. Students will build collaborative relationships and are engaged in the CBS community.
  2. Students value, are aware of, and participate in involvement opportunities.
  3. Students are able to access resources and receive support that they need to engage in effective learning outside of the classroom.

Why should I get involved?

  • Create relationships that will last a lifetime
  • Improve your leadership skills
  • Discover CBS' diverse community
  • Meet people and make friends with similar interests
  • Reach your potential
  • College is more than just classes
  • Work with people different than yourself
  • Take risks
  • Make a difference
