Follow your bliss! The college offers seven undergraduate majors spanning the biological sciences, including biochemistry; biology; ecology, evolution and behavior; genetics, cell biology and development; microbiology; neuroscience; and plant biology. Whatever your interest, CBS has a major to match it.
Innovative courses
Experience an undergraduate curriculum that challenges you to put what you are learning into practice. As a CBS student, you will begin your undergraduate journey at Nature of Life, a three-day immersion in the biological sciences at the headwaters of the Mississippi River. You will continue in your first year with Foundations of Biology, lecture-less introductory courses set in an interactive learning classroom where you will work side-by-side with other students to solve real-world problems.

As a CBS undergraduate you will be in excellent company. CBS students are academic achievers who are highly engaged and looking to make a difference. On average, 2011 incoming freshmen graduated in the 94th percentile of their high school class and achieved an ACT score over 30.
