Background

Evelyn Juliussen has been working with the Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Programs (LSSURP) since 1998. She finds the position challenging, yet very exciting and rewarding. She enjoys working with the diverse group of students that come to the campus each summer; she knows they leave with a unique research and life growing experience.

Evelyn was born and raised in Alaska in the Alutiiq and Kenaitze Indian tribes. She came to Minnesota in 1991 to attend the University of MN. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family and animals; Toy Poodle - Lily and boy cat - Bob (see pictures below). Evelyn has a variety of interests which include reading, outdoor activities, playing pool & darts, bowling, traveling & adventures, and enjoys watching and participating in sports i.e. softball, football, and volleyball, etc.
