Beautiful U Day, April 2006The Headwaters Ecology Club planted 80 native trees and shrubs at Itasca Biological Station and Laboratories for Beautiful U Day, in April. Trees were purchased with a $2,000 grant from the University of Minnesota. Goody Sostegard prepared the grant application.
Volunteers included Goody Sonstegard, Allison Willett, Katie Lee, Alicia Al-Aryan, Victor Nhul, Janell Frick, Nirjhar Dutta, Nick Beermann, Christina Yi, Nacy Fares, Holly Olson, Eli Swanson, Gary Myers, Jennifer Miller, Tim Hohn, Jack Schmidgall and his dog, and Justin Biesboer (pictured above/below).
