1. Microarray data used in Sato et al. (2007)
(1) A. thaliana Col-0 response to P. syringae pv. maculicola ES4326 infection (ATH1 GeneChip): GEO accession GSE4429
Well expanded leaves of ~4 week old A. thaliana Col-0 were hand-infiltrated with Psm ES4326 suspension at OD600 = 0.002 or mock control, and the leaves were harvested 24 hours after. RNA was analyzed using Affymetrix ATH1 GeneChip. The main purpose of this experiment is to evaluate the performance of our small scale array ("miniarray") with which the same RNA samples were analyzed (below).
(2) A. thaliana Col-0 response to P. syringae pv. maculicola ES4326 infection (miniarray): GEO accession GSE4632
The same RNA samples as experiment (1) were analyzed using our miniarray. Two technical replicates were made to evaluate the precision of the miniarray measurements. In addition, the data were compared with the data from experiment (1) to evaluate the accuracy of the miniarray measurements..
(3) A. thaliana Col-0 (WT), rps2, and ndr1 response to P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000 / avrRpt2 infection (miniarray): GEO accesssion GSE5308
Well expanded leaves of ~4 week old A. thaliana Col-0 (WT), rps2-101C, or ndr1-1 plants were hand-infiltrated with Pst DC3000 / avrRpt2 suspension at OD600 = 0.05, and the leaves were harvested 6 hours after. RNA was analyzed using the miniarray. This experiment revealed that ndr1 mutation affects expression of more genes than rps2 mutation while almost all the genes affected by rps2 were included among the genes affected by ndr1.
2. Microarray data used in Tsuda et al. (2007):
(3) A. thaliana Col-0 (WT), rps2, and ndr1 response to P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000 hrcC infection (miniarray): GEO accession GSE8273
Well expanded leaves of ~4 week old A. thaliana Col-0 (WT), pad4-1, and sid2-2 response to leaves were hand-infiltrated with Pst DC3000 hrcC suspension at OD600 = 0.002 or mock control, and the leaves were harvested 3 and 9 hours after. RNA was analyzed using the miniarray. The results demonstrated that a large part of MAMP-triggered response is completely or partically dependent on SA signaling.
