Help Desk Services

The CBS-IT Help Desk provides computer support and technology assistance for the faculty and staff of the College of Biological Sciences. Our services are provided for the common good of the college. There are no usage fees for any of our services or assistance. We can help with your research technology needs, website content management, computer system support, technology purchasing, and consultation on other it-related projects. We strive to be your one-stop shop for all technology-related questions or concerns.

What We Do

  • Gather information about your request and document it in our ticketing system.
  • Provide immediate solutions when possible.
  • Act as first point of contact for all support needs. See General Support and Consulting.
  • Address your request with experienced professional and student staff.
  • Connect you with the appropriate follow up solution if applicable.

What We Don't Do

  • Know everything there is to know. (but we will make every effort to find out)
  • Guarantee a personal response from a specific technician.

What You Need to Do

  • Call us for urgent issues as soon as possible
  • Call, email, open a ticket, or stop by for any other issue.
