Color Calibrating

Note: After certain functions, such as replacing the Donor cartridge, it is necessary to recalibrate the printer to ensure that no loss of color-quality is experienced.

  1. Press the teal, oval-shaped key under the ?On Line? light on the upper left-hand part of the printer control panel.

  2. Using the large oval keypad hit the ?NEXT? button until the screen displays ?CALIBRATION.?
  3. Press the ?SEL? button and then use the ?NEXT? or ?PREV? buttons to find PrintRef.

  4. Press the ?SEL? button to begin the calibration processing.

  5. In a couple minutes, the printer will print a sheet with a color and gray scale table on it. This is the sheet the printer will use to calibrate itself.

  6. Feed that sheet into the small scanner on top of the printer with the black arrow on the sheet underneath the small arrow on the feed area of the scanner. Push the sheet in until it stops.

  7. Press the START key.

  8. The scanner will feed the sheet through itself and back several times, when it has finished, the screen will display: ?Complete.?

  9. The printer should be ready for normal operation.
