After Hours Access to the Imaging Center

Entry to rooms 23 and 35 Snyder Hall of the Imaging Center are accessible by card access. Each user who needs access to the facility must have an authorized card. Your U Card can be lock-encoded to gain access to the Imaging Center and its equipment. If you do not have a U Card, we can assign you a temporary card.

The following policies must be agreed upon prior to card access:

  • ONE USER PER CARD; ONE CARD PER USER
The person to whom the card is assigned is responsible for all entries to the Imaging Center with this card.

  • DO NOT LET ANYBODY ELSE IN
If somebody else is coming into the Imaging Center at the same time you are but they are not working with you, they must enter with their own card. This may seem impolite, but it protects you in case they break a piece of equipment. If they don't use their card because they enter on your coattails, we have to assume any problems that arise are your fault.

  • NEVER GIVE YOUR CARD TO ANOTHER PERSON
Not even somebody else in your lab. Everybody who works after hours and who is allowed to work completely unassisted on a piece of equipment must have a card. People who are not allowed to work unassisted may not have an authorized card. If somebody else is using your card and something bad happens, we will have to assume that you caused the problem.

Notes

  • At any time, you may request a new card. Please be aware that it may take up to 48 hours to process your request.

  • At any time we may disable your card. Any infraction of the above may result in a loss of after-hours privileges unassisted. If we disable your card, we will make a good faith attempt to contact you or your PI immediately.
