Tentative Schedule
Wednesday, October 25: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Morning:
- Introduction of participants and the workshop team.
- Description of the workshop and to the facilities of the Imaging Center. (Staff)
- Introductory lecture on microwave instrumentation. (Rick Giberson, Ted Pella, Inc.)
- Lecture on microwave techniques for LM and EM (Mark Sanders, Imaging Center)
- Lunch on site - discussion (Staff)
- Afternoon:
- Discussions of individual projects regarding samples and labeling details.
- Demonstration of the use of the Biowave Microwave Processor for in vivo labeling.
- Dinner, 5:30 - ? p.m.

Thursday, October 26: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Morning:
- Begin hands-on portion of workshop, Microwave Processing for Light and Electron Microscopy
- Lunch on site -Labeling discussion (Staff)
- Afternoon:
- Antibody labeling of samples and image acquisition by light and fluorescence microscopy.
Friday, October 27: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Morning:
- Hands-on portion of workshop, Microwave Processing for Light and Electron Microscopy - in situ hybridization.
- Lunch on site -Labeling discussion (Staff)
- Afternoon:
- Examination of samples and image acquisition by light, fluorescence and confocal microscopy.
- Digital image storage and output
- Discussion of results, trouble shooting and recommendations.
- Summary and conclusion of workshop, 4:00 p.m.
