Linda McLoon

A tenured professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences, Dr. McLoon’s research focuses on understanding eye movement disorders, particularly focusing on the common eye misalignment disorder called strabismus as well as the eye movement disorder nystagmus. In addition, Dr. McLoon studies why the extraocular muscles, the muscles that move the eyes in the orbit, are spared in Duchenne muscular dystrophy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
