Jeff Gralnick

Jeff Gralnick is an assistant professor in the Microbiology Department and a faculty advisor for University undergraduates entering synthetic biology projects in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. The University of Minnesota have performed very well in this competition, winning first place in 2010.

As an HHMI postdoc, Amin Hajimorad has worked with Jeff to help prep students for the iGEM competition. Amin's background in teaching and interest in applying electrical engineering concepts to genetically engineer bacteria made him a natural fit as an advisor.
