Future EEB graduate students
The highly selective program attracts top students from around the world. The program is home to an active group of about 60 graduate students. Students in the program are able to take advantage of all that a large public research university has to offer while benefitting from the personal attention of their advisors and a sense of community within the program.
The majority of our students earn a Ph.D. degree, but some students seeking a master's degree are admitted. Admission to the program is competitive, with GRE scores, the undergraduate GPA, personal statements of career objectives, and letters of recommendation being the primary criteria used in admission decisions. Applications are considered only once each year beginning immediately after the deadline in early December. New students are admitted to the graduate program only for the fall semester but may delay their start until the following spring semester.
