Time
The Colloquium is offered Mondays or Tuesdays during fall and spring semesters and is also offered Thursdays in the fall semester. Information on registration can be found at:

Credits
The Colloquium is a one-credit course. Most students begin the Colloquium series fall semester and continue through spring, although one can begin the Colloquium any semester. Students may enroll in the Colloquium twice. During the second Colloquium semester, students may enroll for an additional credit if they are working on an independent project (Biol 1093). Projects are optional but encouraged, and are a great way to try out a beginning research experience.

Grades
The Colloquium is an S/N course. The "S" grade is based primarily on the journal and regular attendance. Journals must be turned in at regular intervals throughout the semester.

Requirements
• Attend large group seminars.
• Participate in your small group activities and offer ideas and suggestions to your student leader. If you must miss a small group session, let your student leader know in advance. Absences must be made up.
• Keep a journal that will be reviewed by your student leader during the semester.
• Colloquium meets only once a week so attendance is very important. More than two absences will result in an automatic "N" for the class.
