Scholarships, fellowships and lectureships
As public support for higher education declines, the cost of college for students and parents keeps increasing. If you graduated more than a few years ago, you’ll probably be surprised to learn that resident undergraduates now pay approximately $12,288 a year for tuition and fees. When you add living expenses, the total cost is about $22,000 a year.
CBS depends on support from alumni and donors to reduce the burden to students and families through scholarships and fellowships. In 2010-11, CBS awarded 89 scholarships and 17 fellowships to bright, deserving students thanks to the generous contributions of alumni and others. But we aren’t keeping pace with the growing need for financial support. And many other schools offer much more substantial support.
