More than 40 participants and presenters gathered in St. Paul November 19 for the inaugural sci/spark 5-minute science event sponsored by CBS, CFANS and MN Queer Science. Presenters associated with CBS included Daniel Nidzgorski, who also organized and hosted the event, Judd Hultquist and Mohamed Yakub.Topics ranged from HIV lethal mutagenesis to invasive species.
Hai Nguyen-Tran (left) received this year's President's SEED Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement for her work with the student group Circle of Giving, which focuses on addressing health disparities, and involvement in Minnesota's Future Doctors and the Center for Health Equity Undergraduate Research Program.
