1. Course Planning:

A. Take BioC 4331 as soon as you can:
it is the gateway to other biochem courses.
You can take it concurrently with organic 2

B. Take BioC 4521 early also:
this will get you ready for excitiing advanced courses.
This class is now offered both spring and fall.

C. Take Bioc 4025:
There will be a summer section offerred starting in Summer 09.

2. New Lab Courses for Biochem Majors:

A. BioC 4225: Laboratory in NMR techniques
a hands-on workshop in NMR
1 credit, offered in May session

B. BioC 4325L: Laboratory in Mass Spectrometry
will use advanced genomics and proteomics techniques
1 credit, offered in January. Jan 12-16, 2009. Register as a spring course.

3. Advising

A. Contact your faculty advisor
Expect an email from your advisor in a couple of weeks
They can help you with:

Finding a Directed Reserch project
Grad school/med school decisions
Career plans

B. Contact an advisor in CBS Student Services
They can help you with:

Course planning
Scheduling
Graduation requirements
