Course Information

Course Purpose: The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of biochemical pathways and mechanisms. this course also provides preparation for biochemistry sections of dental exams.

Course Objecties:

* To understand the molecular components of biochemistry
* To understand energy concepts in biochemistry
* To understand catalysis in biochemistry
* To understand how energy can be stored in biochemistry
* To understand basic concepts of molecular biology
* To understand the ramifications of molecular biology and recombinant DNA technology as they apply to human health and dentistry in particular
* To understand basic concepts of signal transduction
